By creating a free account you obtain the following benefits: puzzlopia will remember the puzzles you have solved, you will gain Access to more games, you can exchange comments, follow all users, accumulate points and much more!
Your account will be anonymized, meaning it will continue to exist but without your personal information. We do this so the rankings continue to work. All your personal information, including the email stored internally, will be deleted. The account becomes inactive and unretrievable.
The points you receive depend on several factors. If you win a bonus, it is added to the points. If you repeat a puzzle you have already solved, you will receive less points as it is always easier to solve a puzzle when you already know the answer.
A bonus is extra points for solving a puzzle. They are awarded for special achievements. For example, reaching first place in a ranking. You will also receive a bonus for reaching second or third place.
In general, no: if you receive a bonus for reaching first place in a ranking and you repeat the same puzzle, you will not receive extra points as you haven’t improved your position. Most bonuses are only awarded when you have really improved.
There are several prizes to collect: Badges. They are much more rare. For example, there are a few badges available for the first users to reach Active status, others for the subsequent status, and so on.
It depends on the mechanics of the game. There are some puzzles, like sudoku, that don’t have a fixed number of moves and have varying degrees of difficulty so it would be too complicated to create a leaderboard. For others, the challenge is more simple and it is clear how many points have been scored or if you have found the best solution.
